hey everyone I've had a noticeable amount of power steering slack since I bought the car I've always just blew it off but over the last 3 years it has gotten worse and can actually make it hard to drive in cautious weather situations. I've done both inner and outer tie rods on both sides and they are still tight as can be I just did my fluid and put in some Lucas stuff with it that's supposed to control slack and my fluid didn't look too bad either. also I have no leaks and it works effortlessly also no pump whine.

I've seen other cars have some adjustment screw that you can mess with to make the steering tight again. is that and option on these cars? if so could I ask some help as to where it is and what I should to fix it. I don't want to replace the whole rack for this issue as I said steering is still smooth, with no leak or noises so I will just live with it if its a costly and timely fix.

I've never heard of any such thing on our cars, but I am curious as well. I do have a little play in my steering as well even after replacing all 4 tierods. Might be time to lube the steering shaft again

that screw is on steering boxes only. we have a rack, been there just like you got, you need a new rack. both wheels off the ground locked wheel i found a good 1/2 " internal slop, when ever i'd floor it, well it was a game of what way will the front end pull this time, left or right.
