I need struts on my 2002 GTP with 137k miles because the right one is hopping when I hit anything rough. Not sure what else is wrong with it, but the boot has separated from the shock. I've found a number of replacement parts, but don't want to change my ride height or spring rate (nor break the bank). What about these from ZZP:

Drop in Strut/Spring Combo – ZZPerformance

Or this kit from Am Autoparts?:

These are the best bang for your buck struts and are recommended by lots of people in the 3800 community.

    These would be the fronts:
Amazon.com: KYB SR4002 Strut Plus Complete Corner Unit Assembly: Automotive

You would also need for the rears:
    KYB-SR4003 & KYB-SR4004

Amazon says about 353$ with free prime shipping. (If you dont have prime you can sign up for free trial)

Ive heard only bad things about Zzp and Monroe quick struts

So KYG recommends their Excell-G struts for the GTP application, which is what ZZP is selling complete for $299. Are the SR4xxx series an upgrade? They're certainly a lot more expensive. Not sure how you came up with $353, since each strut is over $100 each, unless that was for fronts only.

Correction: ZZP has KYG Excel-G struts pictured in their ad, but ships Monroe struts.

I went with these struts and I could not be happier. My GTP rides like new! I also replace the Lower Control arms with Moog LCA's as well as the torsion bar links.

That is to say, I went with the KYG struts recomended by Suitercrew. Easy install and great feel on the road.
