Has anyone had a good or bad experience with this particular item or Detroit axle in general?

they have come up before, some have bought there hubs and they fail fast, some said they lasted years, the racks idk, seems way to cheap.
rear hubs iirc had a better record of lasting long time. but im sure that goes for any other brand as well.
I recently bought an AC Delco Professional rack and pinion from Rock. I know of Detroit axle, I went with AC Pro anyway. I've found that most reviews of Detroit Axle hang on the negative side.
Every other review for DA is junk, they also dont like to honor their warranty
Well ok then. I figured that they wouldn't be recommended, just thought I'd ask. Their reviews on Amazon are pretty good but its also only based on 5 people.

Fck amazon, google detroit axle you have people from tundras to beamers reviewing it. Iv thought about it, after 30min of reading, ill go AC.
Ya I guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay the core charge. I've heard pretty good things about the a1 cardone racks though so I'm still undecided on them or Delco. I haven't been buying many Delco parts since everything is made in China now.

And you didnt read the fine print, to have a warranty from DA you HAVE to send your core back to them
I had an A1 rack and pinion. It failed at about the one year mark. Bought it and warrantied it through RockAuto. Hoping this replacement lasts a long time.
Yes I have heard a lot of issues regarding the Detroit Axle warranty they want you to pay a deposit and pay shipping and then they'll decide if it's bad or not I worked as a professional mechanic all my life I'll be at not high tech but general but still I know if a ball joints bad or something they'll probably try to argue with you so far I've only bought two control arms for my 01 Pontiac Grand Prix however the reviews were very good for the control arms I bought them about 2 months ago they've already gone up almost $20 Amazon plays the raising the prices game all the time.
Plus I'm a prime member for what that's worth anymore there's no more two or three day shipping like it used to be.
