First off let me say i'm brand new to the grand prix forums and I'm sure this question has been asked before. Before i joined i couldn't find anything about this on google.

I have a 99 grand prix gt and i plan on upgrading most of the suspension on it and I found everything i want to get except springs and shocks. I want to get something that's better than stock so i came across the KYB AGX shocks. Are these the only shocks that are better than stock for my vehicle? Personally i would rather go with Koni yellow or Bilsteins, however those two companies don't make those shocks for a 99. Has anyone found a way to make those shocks work for a 6th gen w body?

If anyone has the AGX shocks how do you like them? Did you go with spring and shock or coilover?

This car is my DD but i also like having fun with it

    Thanks in advance!

Buy any strut or spring from any year between 1997 and 2008 and you will be happy.
They are all the same dam thing. Well except for 2004-2006ish but even then you would say no cares because they would work with your LCA set up anyway.

So Merry fckn Christmas, get shoppin

I ran KYB GR2's because I didn't want the harsher ride of the AGX's, those with some lowering springs/new mounts and it rode great.

FWIW I just installed all new KYB GR2's, mounts and Eibach springs on all 4 corners at 382K miles. Rides just fine. Then again my results could be kinda skewed since the rear struts I pulled out were still factory originals, lol... With my Dorman solid front sway bar, GMPP rear trailing arms and sway bar and new bushings on both ends it has really tightened up. It's not a road racer by any means but I can tell the difference for sure over the stock stuff and none of the bushings are poly at this point, just plain old rubber. Stays much flatter in corners and doesn't seem to slam over most bumps unless you catch a good chuckhole or a big seam in the road.
