Mine *was* mounted to the pass-through door. Fit perfect, out of the way, and easy to adjust.

that blazer had 16 15" rf subs, and I forget what amps (everything was rf including the head unit) my van (caravan) had 16 15" lanzar subs, and an opti 50c for each one to do it. He switched it from Hi Fonics where he was getting 165 db the year before (those pics are all from '96)

technically no, they got caught cheating, and banned from competition by Iasca (hence she went to a different organization that doesn't do a tear down on request)

How he makes his trim pieces and door panels is different to say the least. He mixes up a big bowl of resin, then cuts weaved cloth into 2x2 squares, then he dips the cloth in the bowl and puts it on his frame. It is seriously messy, you should have seen the table he was doing this on at the training inst.; but hey he is one of the best in the world at what he does. I tried it once and just didn't like the process and the aftermath at all.

oh...bronco, my bad.....just curious how were they cheating? How does one cheat at car audio?

I believe the alma lady has since retired...before she retired though they tore the bronco apart and built a sq system with JL.

she had amps hidden underneath, the floor of the thing got hot to the touch, she also had a nice port setup to blow right at the microphone.

yea i heard about the blazer with a crap load of 15's . i love my systems but damn that is just toooooo much for me . i currently have 1- 12" Earthquake Subzero (in a sealed box) and a Almani 2450 watt amp in my 2005 scion tc . i also have another 12" Earthquake Subzero (ported box) and a Phenoix Gold Tantrum amp that i will be putting in my gtp sooner or later . the hardest hitting system i have ever had my self was 2- 12" orion h2 subwoofers in a sealed box . that thing hit HARD !!!! i have had one of those jl W7's in the jl ported box . it was ok but nothing compared to the orion h2 .

i have a memphis 500D to the subs and memphis 200 watt m class, each are screwed to carpeted boards in the trunk...... why do ppl have and want anything that hits over 140 db...pushing 1000's of watts... my 2 digital designs 1510's and memphis m class highs and mids have hurt my ears at times and also broke all the ribs off the inside of the taillights.

I just have a quick question. I have been told that it isnt good for your amps to mount them to the same box that your sub is in. is that true?

I have heard this too, was told it causes the amp to vibrate too much and might rattle stuff loose inside the amp. This is just what I heard though, I'll let someone with more knowledge clear it up.
