The other day the car wouldn't start. Key on it acted normal but turn to start and nothing. The only weird thing is that the airbag light on the dash was blinking and I could hear a clicking sound that was coordinated with it. Then I noticed this little red light blinking down by my feet.
I looked and found this on the bottom of the dash. after playing with it and pushing the tiny button on the back of it several times, the airbag light and clicking stopped and the car started. I must have hit it with my foot or something.
Anyway, I want to get rid of it. I've accidentally done that a couple more times and it takes forever to figure out how many times or how long to push the button to stop it. There doesn't seem to be a consistency.
    Anyone else seen this before?

That is likely part of an aftermarket alarm setup. YOu need to remove the hush panel and look further.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
