okay, so i bought a pioneer head unit, and i bought the correct steering wheel interface, but i'm not so sure i bought the correct data bus interface. i do not have the bose system in my '07 gp. i bought the gmos-04 data bus, but i think i was supposed to buy the gmos-01 interface. the only difference seems to be the 4 rca output cables. is there anyone that can tell me whether or not this will work for me if i just connect the 4 rca cable's wires right to the speaker wires on the HU's harness?

...any help is greatly appreciated. i have the new head unit running right now but i'm not sure the interface is working. i have sound out of the rear speakers, but it is low, and the front speakers are not putting out sound. also, when i shut my doors, that turns the stereo on for some odd reason. thanks again for any input!

the only difference between the interfaces is the 01,02,03,04 number. they mean that the interface will do either 1,2,3 or 4 things.

so does this mean that i can just hard wire the speaker wires from the back of the head unit to the RCA cables, because for some reason, those aren't working?

i would not advise that at all but it can be done. i wont tell you how do it it though becuase the risk of burning up you head units internal amp will increase.

well, thanks for the heads up, i ended up takin her to circuit city and it turned out that crutchfield sent me the wrong data bus interface. i was supposed to get the gmos-01 not the 04. anyway, it works now and sounds great! thanks for the replies though!
