I have a 2002 Grand Prix SE that the display has not worked since I got the car. I took it apart and replaced the display bulb and installed the radio back in the dash. Now the anti-theft light keeps blinking when the car is on but the radio still works. I have not replaced the radio. Any idea on this?

My 02 GT has the same problem, radio and CD work like a champ but the display light that displays the clock and radio station does not burn. Will you post here how to go about replacing the light bulb and how difficult (technical knowledge) I need to accomplish the task? Thanks in advance.

Scotty, Great video, thanks !!!! My Pontiac Delco Bose radio is different however. Display is in the upper left hand corner of the radio but it only has one bulb that fits into a brown colored plastic holder with a ribbon attached. Not that I have had mine apart mind you but was in a salvage yard and a Pontiac Delco Bose was laying in the front seat all apart. Not sure what they took but the display with the ribbon attacked was still there with a broken bulb. Based on your video I am guessing I need to get just one replacement bulb and a BIG magnifying glass to figure out where the holes are at to slide the bulb wires thru and where to solder them. Thanks again for the video.

ive seen a how to for the one large bulb too, was unable to find it tho.

same deal tho, heat and remove the solder and bulb, solder a new one in place.

Mine kept popping bulbs left and right, and those suckers are expensive. I ripped out the factory spot for the light, and hot glued a bulb I soldered some leads to in the same spot, then ran the wires out the back of the radio and spliced them into accessory power, haven't blown one since.

damn thats creative for sure. like the guy in the vid said they are 12.9 volt bulbs and the 12 volts just blow out fast. but running it to its own power has to be better.

so it run full bright all the time i guess right?
