Yes I checked the bulbs using a 9v battery, all 3 lit up and I installed them in the Delco radio/CD player as the original LCD light were out.

Plugged it back together (no screws yet) and turned the car on. Radio button lights up but LCD don't light up Checked with my meter, there is no power to the 3 bulbs. I traced it, ground is good but the 12v source seems to go to a tiny SMD transistor near the connector. It's under blob of epoxy so it might be rather hard to try and check or replace the transistor without pulling other parts off the board plus I suck at replacing SMD parts

Do any of you know if the radio (from '05 GP base) is locked as whole or if I can swap just the front board and use the original main board without triggering security lock? Or am I better off actually buying a Pioneer replacement and sell the radio with non working light on eBay? As long as aftermarket radio won't affect the DIC function or the HUD if I decide to add it to my car.
