    04 gtp w/monsoon

Have had a couple threads regarding this issue in the past month. Ended up re wiring the rear new 6x9 speakers directly to the HU thus bypassing the monsoon amp. Sounds a lot better however I am getting the exact same static coming from the rear 6x9 tweeter peice.

    Static is only on with:

    - HU powered on AND radio/cd/mp3 playing
    - car is started and door chimes go on
    - During the day with DRL (led switchback with resistor stop hyper flashing)

    Static is gone when:

    - car/ radio is not playing obviously
    - at night or when i manually turn drl off static stops while radio still playing!

I dont think its wiring/grounding issue or wiring wires to close etc.. bad rcas etc.. I'm leaning towards something wrong with drl set up??

how can i fix this for the love of god

the only thing I did different was replace rear speakers with new ones and then got this static. Then I rewired the speakers again but directly to the HU.

Any suggestions on the static? or how to supress/get rid of it?

Which head unit? Are you running any additional amps? Are you using any of the original Monsoon wiring?
I've been through it all with my car, same year and model.. Need more info, I'll share what I've done over the years.

Pioneer avh5700dvd head unit, one amp mono block for the subs, not using monsoon wiring for rewired speakers to head unit used regular speaker wire other than that havnt touch the monsoon stuff. Static still there not to bad but there. Goes away if headlights are being used (on) no additional amps for speakers it's pretty loud as is and matches the bass good
