On my 01 Grand Prix GT I have a problem where the car won't completely turn off. You can get the ignition to where you can take the key out. However the door still dings and the shift selector still lights up. I used to be able to turn the car completely off, now I can only turn it off some times.

Any suggestions and what I should do would really be appreciated.

Sounds like the ignition cylinder (not switch) is binding.
