    When I mount my HID ballasts under the hood, should the metal ballast casing contact the metal frame for cooling needs, or would 3M double sticky tape be okay to use? (or maybe a zap strap?)

    I used 3M double side tape on mine for the last 4 years no issues here.

    Thanks for the help. Just thought it might need to use the metal vehicle body as a heat sink. Gonna do the 3M tape and zap straps. Make me feel safer that they won't dislodge. I like this, now I don't have to worry about putting holes in my car.
