I recently just bought 2 12" infinity subs off my friend and was wondering what would be the best amp to get for these subwoofers. I believe they are 500w. No clue on where to begin.

kicker amp
Well for starters, when buying an amp don't look at the max wattage. It's just a gimmick and mos amps don't do rated. Look at the rms wattage to evenly match speakers to amp. I would also think about if you want sound quality or spl. Look for some amps and post back. Remember your electrical will benefit from a big three upgrade. Electrical for the amp needs to be on par or you will also lose wattage along the way.
i agree you want to know what your looking for and what is the OHM on the subs as if they are dual 4s you can run at 4 ohm or 1ohm do not cheap out on a amp dont buy the american bass or five star or lanzar or boss none of that crap do the research and a mono is the way to go...IMO....so be honest for the money the alpine mrp-m1000 is a great amp its now the newest and not the sleanest but it does handle well makes good power and isnt crap. As stated before dont get into the max watt outputs because then crap brand will brag 4000watts but that bench tested with like 24v being pused to it when the best youll give it is 14.4v with the alt running
You need to look the rms wattage on the subs and amp and make sure you match the impeidance like if you have 2 4 ohm subs you can wire them togeather for 2 ohms and get a 2 ohm mono block amp
best combo is kicker cvr 12s with sony explode 1200 watt blows windows out and cops hate em
Get a mmats amp. Big power and ez on electrical
Ehh? Surely the VFL series isn't "cheaping out".... OP... any amp will work honestly. As long as you set it up correctly, even a Legacy amp will make noise lol. What is your budget? The first recommendation that comes to mind is a Crescendo BC2000D... not expensive, and the headroom will allow you flexibility, seeing as how nobody knows what your subs coils are, as 06 pointed out.
i have this amp and really like it never had any problems fairly cheap and lots of power
Amazon.com: Hifonics Brutus Brz1200.1d 1200 Watt RMS at 1 Ohm Monoblock Super Class D Amplifier: Car Electronics
Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D BRZ 1200.1D Class D Car Amplifier/Amp
As stated above the first amp that comes to mind is the crescendo bc200d then the audioque 2200d. Both very solid amps. I've ran them both in the past and I would again.
If you want to go a little cheaper you can always check the car audio forums for one of those used.
