I heard that replacing the stock radio and getting the steering wheel controls to work again isn't easy? Any help?

You'll need a wire harness to make it work on some aftermarket radio's.

I'm sure if you search for it, you'll find it.

Just need to get a head unit that support a WIRED remote control, then use one of the adapters from PAC Audio or Axxess. Go to Crutchfield and enter your car details and it will tell you what fits and give you the part # of the adapter you need. I put Pioneer decks in both the 98 and 01 GP's and have steering wheel controls working in both. It's not hard, just need to get the right adapter and following the programming instructions.
