Looking at the new pioneer Avh-x4500bt and the figment guide said it won't fit. So not ever having worked on this car is there a piece of plastic you can cut out of there and still have room for the head unit and Gmos-04?

It's a standard double din why wouldn't it fit?

Yup. Friend has one with an aftermarket double din. No issues.

Don't always rely on Crutchfield to tell you what will and will not fit

It's not the height. That's obviously a DD. it's the depth. Plus adding that big ass Gmos module

The depth of that head unit isn't going to be any more of a issue as any other DD would be. The clearance is there in the back and the module will fit. Yes it needs to be sort of stuffed in there or you could put it in too of the heater and ac controls. Once you pull the stock head unit out you'll see what I mean. Right now it's going to probably be confusing what I'm trying to explain w/o seeing it first hand.

It is pretty right back there but there is room to the side to stuff the module in there, just make sure all the wires are zip tied together so it's not a big jarble of stuff. But you do clean work so I don't think you will have a problem

Shift mod is ultra top secret mod only the few will attempt. J/k actually it's just taking the stock shift knob off lol I was going to put a gto shift knob and still plan on it but I have so many other projects lines up right now just haven't gotten the chance to finish it plus the cars sitting in the driveway so I'm in no rush.

Yup lol you'll be surprised how much room is back there once you pull the stock headunit out and you'll have extra room on top of the ac controls as well and behind the dic. Trust me it might take some time but you can get everything to fit.

Yea I had to cut the plastic brace in my bonneville cuz that wouldn't fit. Can't wait to get this new 4500. Looks pretty nice. Also gonna run my RCAs and power wire. Should have my amp next week when they get back in stock. ( AQ1200D ) and then just throw my DC lvl 3 12s in there. Haven't had bass in 3 yrs. kinda miss it.

Yeah there is lots of room I'm running a JVC KW-AVX 640 with GMOS-1 adapter, Pac swijack steering wheel adapter, and satellite radio, so there is plenty of room.

Just out of Curiosity , for those of you who are running an after market amp of some sort, do you remember how much Power wire you used ( from the Battery to the trunk? No big deal, Im gonna order 25 feet just to be safe, but just curious.. Also will a hole need to be drilled in the firewall to place a grommet or a firewall bushing, Or is there some spot to sneak it in without drilling

There's a hole on the passenger side where a grommet is that you can use. No need to drill holes.
