i installed my new head unit and relized that there is another wiring harness that was in my stock radio that had like 3-5 wires on it i was wouldering what this was if it was my steering wheel controles or what. thank you

Yes the other harness is your steering wheel controls.
If you want the steering wheel controls back you have to get an adapter harness like these Steering Wheel Controls | Steering Wheel Adapter
Not sure which one though.

You can buy another harness to make them functional if you want

Steering controls are a green wire, typically in the main connector. The other connector typically has the power for the amp.
