I picked up a Sony Mex BT3100P head unit cheap. I have the bose system so i know i need the pax adapter to hook into it. I have the faceplate, antenna adapter and standard gm wiring harness ( ZZP actually sent me 2 lol by accident ). Any tips or advice to give me a guide would be nice too.

In the door? For me with bose it was the pink wire on the small harness, wire it up to the yellow.
