I want to get this fixed before Winter comes for obvious reasons:
I have a 2002 Monte Carlo and it keeps dying when coming to a stop only while the heat or AC is on. Basically any time I have the air blowing out of the vents it will die when coming to a stop. I can see the voltage drop when I come to a stop also. It's almost like the car is drawing too much for the alternator to keep up.
First thought was alternator which I ended up getting a sweet deal on a 220amp DBelectrical one off here. I have yet to intall it.
Second was the ignition switch.
Any other ideas? I will be installing the alternator this week.
