Thread: Firing order audio feedback

so its happened twice now the first time it was hard to make out just seemed like static chalked it up to my LED halos being wet and causing a issue immediately dissipated after restarting the car

after last night rain I went out to start the car and the static was there but it was rather consistent I turned the stereo to max before restarting the car this time
and the distinction of my engine firing in sync was incredibly obvious

right now my amp is wired into my fuse box

Should I move it and connect directly to battery?

seems like a bad ground somewhere but I'm not sure which to check between battery headlight and amp I have 4 grounds on the vehicle

and the fact that it only happens while wet and briefly would lead me to believe its moisture under the hood

I grounded the new lamps to the old grounding bolts but they dont offer the same spacing so there is about 1/4 inch gap around it that I need to weather strip

Anybody know a place where I could pick up some diy stripping to go around the gap with?

you need better grounds i bet.

pics of these gaps you speak of, you dont want any bare wire, ground or not showing.

gotta pick up some teflon tape to seal off the passenger side as its been creating some moisture issues
will probably grab some black rtv sealent and go around them as well and than some shrink wrap to go over all the wires
swapped amp line to battery

could it be just grounding out on something when it gets wet due to moisture via small opening in a splice sleeve?
should I move my ground placement?

oh, those gaps, welcome to the aftermarket world.

you need to seal the housing up.

maybe drill a 1/8 hole in the bottom to act as a vent.

well so should I seal em up or vent em or both?

yeah I knew what I was getting into with them figured I could find something to cover gap and from in front of the car its alot less noticeable

id seal em up first, take the bulbs out and let them dry up. see what happens.


the gaps i dont know what to tell ya. im in a regal, they dont make cool lights for my car.

could still throw some hid or tint em yourself for that slick look
