Does anyone around here have the Infinity BassLink? Just wanted to see how people like it. Does it give good solid loud bass? Is it clear bass? Was it easy to install/any problems with it?

I had it...it will add some extra thump...but likely it will be drowned out by your interior speakers. From what I could actually hear, it sounded pretty good.

Would you say it was worth the $200 or so?

I'd say you can get a single 10 with box and an amp for that price that would sound better and louder.

that seems like a solid deal...but i dont know much about Boston acoustics and how well there subs are...i know more about kicker subs. Do you know if they hit decently hard and sound good?

Kicker is good for volume... that's about it. I mean their round subs sound decent but if you really want any tight or SQ oriented bass, just don't.

Boston Acoustics I've heard in person, not exactly a punchy line of subwoofers, but very accurate. Polk audio might have what you're looking for, and their subwoofers are pretty cheap.

If you want look into "independent" companies too, like Fi Audio or something similar. Even their lowest end of subs sound great and can get VERY loud.

If you can raise your budget a bit, and give up a little more room, a 12" Obsidian D2 in 2.0 net tuned around 32hz on an APSM-1500 gets nasty in our trunks. I know from experience. It will run closer to 300 though. Do you have any woodworking skills at all? If you construct a box for the sub, it will far outshine a prefab.

One still slow and loud... other one scoots just a bit.

Well, run a sundown e-10 sealed on a lil cheap amp, like the apsm-1300. Should do ya well.

    Get the Basslink II

I have one, its not bad, its not going to shake windows or be heard down the block, but it will give you extra thump for sure. I want the Basslink II because I hear its better.

I have a Boss "1200W" all in one and its all over the place, the thump in the basslink is far more crisp and clean, hits the same too.

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

I've been trying to find the basslink II but it seems that its not sold anywhere. So might just have to go with the 1.

I just bought Rockford fosgate prime subs and a fosgate 5 channel prime amp. Pretty reasonable at sonic electronix and sound pretty damn good.
