I've become quite fond of the auto window buttons in my other vehicle. Is there any way to program the buttons in the Grand Prix to automatically roll up as well as down?

That would of a safety concern and not recommended auto UP could cause pinch point or worse if your fingers are in the way and that is why it isn't recommended, unless you can figure out a way to prevent window from going up when something is in the way.
I'm only interested in it on the front windows, if my passenger or myself get fingers stuck in the window, I'll laugh... If it's such a safety concern why to a lot of newer vehicles have it?
Anyone know how to make that work in these cars?
Hmm. I'd pull the motors and wiring from a car that's already got it and tinker until it works. I've never heard of anyone bothering with it on any of the GP forums. Good luck!
Some of the Fbody guys do express down on the passenger side. I'm sure theres a way to reverse it so it's express up. I'll see if I can dig up some threads for you.
Please tell me what cars have express UP power windows, I'm very curious now.
My 2008 Mazda CX-7 GT has express up for both front windows, you can activate the passenger side from either the passenger control or the driver control, and obviously, the driver window also has express up.
my moms 2010 sentra sr has auto up. i agree though that cars should have sensors if something is in the path of the window. im sure high dollar cars like bmw, mercedes or audi, if they have cars with express up, it has sensors
My 02 audi a4 had auto up and down for all windows, and if you held the unlock button on the remote, all the windows would go down and the sunroof would lift up.

Most new cars have auto up with a safety feature to kill the windows if something hits em. dodge charger, Buick enclave and many more.
It wouldn't be that much work, just a pressure sensitive window motor, with too much resistance it should reverse direction. I am just not sure if it's possible to get these kind of things from other vehicles to work in the Prix. I'm not an automotively inclined person, though I am learning a lot along my way. So some things that seem obvious to others may not be so obvious to me.
I wonder if someone who knows a little more about electrical wiring type stuff (or anyone else for that matter) could tell me if they think something like this would work for the Prix. I found a mod someone did for Fords (Crown Vic specifically), it's just a little snip and rewire type stuff. I don't really see why it wouldn't but I don't know.

Window express down stopped working. Connected new switch - did not help. Any ideas? 2002 GP SE
Spica, I would create a brand new thread instead of using this 5 year old one. To give a quick answer though, if a new switch didn't solve the problem then you will need to check into the wiring harness and/or the window motor itself.
Will do some more checking and get back. By the way, I don't know how to post or I would start a new thread. Can anyone help??
