I am going to be running about 2600 watts in audio and i have aftermarket led's and a tv stuff like that. so my question is what is going to be the best battery that will fit under the hood of an 07 supercharged gt? Keep in mind the cold michigan winters can sometimes get down to -20 degrees

The superstart extreme agm is a good battery... it is a re-badged Deka, which is a popular battery in the car audio world. For 2600 watts, you would do well to look into a high output alternator, or a second battery for the trunk to prevent clipping. The xspower s3400, or d3400, is an excellent battery. A little on the expensive side, but they are very, very stout.

The superstart extreme agm will be fine... as far as kinetik goes, look at Shuriken... same battery, different label lol. Deka is also a low cost alternative with a proven track record... which is what the superstart extreme agm actually is lol. That ss/agm with a deka 9a31 in the rear would definitely be enough.

If you're not going to run the audio with the engine off...then any battery that starts the vehicle You really don't need any of those gel cells or anything else unless your going into extreme temperatures. Otherwise, they're just trendy.

FYI...your battery begins to charge ~12.6V I believe. If you drop below that, then you start pulling power from the battery. So unless your engine is off...why is your battery important with an audio install?

Cranking amps is what's important with starting your vehicle. As long as it starts my car I'll use it.

Do you have any information that says a battery is important to your audio system once the engine is on? I'd rather not use "experience" since it's wildly subjective and based on a number of variables.

I haven't found any academic proof that says a solid 12V battery source is necessary to run in line while utilizing 120amp/13.6V source.

How many 20amp outlets does your home theatre require?

2600 watts will pull more amperage than his alternator is going to produce, especially with it being stock. Voltage has stabilized greatly in many situations by getting a stout battery that is designed for quick discharges, which car audio requires. Do I have link to scientific evidence? Nope. However, I do know that running that much power on a stock battery and alternator will result in clipping and a dead amp or sub eventually, depending on how hard he pounds his equipment.

OP stated that -20 is a possibility during the winters in his area... I'd call that a tad bit outside of conventional.
