Thread: is the 1999 grand am stereo the same as a 2001 grand prix gt?

I have a line on a 1999 grand am stereo/cd player/equalizer and looking at it is appears that it looks exactly the same as the one I have in my 2001 grand prix gt. Are they same? Can I do a direct switch, one with the other? My display is burned out and instead of buying a bulb or pulling it apart, I would like to just do a transfer of them.
