Thread: Feedback from sub

I got a new Type R 10" sub dual 2 ohm, I have a kenwood amp, everything is wired down to 1ohm and yes my amp is 1ohm stable, ported box 1.6cuft. The issue I'm having is I'm getting feedback through my sub and I can't quite tell what it is. So far what I've tested was a couple of different grounds, unplugged and plugged back in connections to double check they are secure. Now if I have the amp and such on without the RCA cables plugged in it still has feedback. The sub and such works great none the less with the feedback so I'm trying to get that removed to fully enjoy. Any ideas?.....

I'm still a noob with this so humor me... what's your gain set to? I'd suspect that it's too high.

Ok wired up with RCA's coming from the head unit, all theconnections are matched as I pulled the head unit to check behind that as well as paint a few interior pieces. The RCA and power are run on the same side as I thought the issue with the power wire and audio cable was with speakers as the sub frequency is too low. Also the RCA's are next to the power wire with the remote wire being sandwiched between.

Alright I'll pull the sub out and wire it differently. I know that if your amp isn't 1 ohm stable you'll have issues but I know for a fact mine is. I'll try to find another ground to test and maybe just grab and make a new cable for the ground to double check.
