^^^ better can be had for a cheaper price...just a lil FYI.
Sorry W6v2's are top of the line?
Try some TC Sounds LMS-5400's.
To answer your question, here are some questions:
What sort of user are you? Abusive or reserved?
What box are these going in?
What sort of music do you listen to?
The correct amp depends on factors, biggest one being your wallet.
So, you haven't heard about them over extending themselves and destroying everything?
If your going to do it go fi, tc sounds, psi audio. Guys like that have the best subs ever made, subs like those you can't buy in a store, imo jl is garbage, all of their stuff.
I would probably be a reserved user. Just a simple enclosed custom box nothing fancy. And I listen to anything but rap and hip hop would be what I would listen to "loudly".
I didn't say that the W6v2's were top of the line I said that JL in general is a good brand for a good price.
That's your opinion but JL in general is a good audio company. thanks for the suggestions.
I'd rather have a bunch of these if I'm being cheap...

More subs = lower xmax = easier to maintain linear control(clarity).
Good,
Doesnt help, too vauge.
need to know sealed or ported, internal box volume minus driver volume. And specs on the port/tune frequency for the ported box.
Good.
So yes, the sub choice might be good, but first we need to know the box specs, and what you plan on running for midbass/midwoofers and where/how they're installed.
Don't know a whole lot about JL Audio, whats your power ratings on the sub?
my friend won a sterio contest 169.8 dcbl's on 2 Alpine Type X. i believe it was a 4000 watt amp with 3 or 4 car batteries but it was a beast.
So we went from reserved user to "i can haz hearing damage?"
it was in a chevy impala SS. he would roll his window up to build up pressure then roll them down so it would "explode" out an spike the meter. he has youtube vids of it in the comp being measured but i cant find them.
