Good choice, I have a pair of infintity kappa perfct VQ 12in subs with an infinity mono amp as well. I love my setup and those subs love a sealed enclosure. I am not sure what your interested in though. I love a clear tight precise bass but if your into a loud crazy bass infinitys are not for you.
    Infinity all around.

no i hate that. I like a nice BALANCED sound. im very very picky when it comes to audio. I do alot of pro sound work and i will tweak the system for hours until i get the EXACT sound i want haha. how much are subs and amps? i can have a custom box made if that would help too

Hmm that my friend is a wonderful question my friend because there is kind of an issue. They don't make an infinity kappa perfect sub any longer. I waited awhile to find a pair used but I love them. I also have an older infinity amplifier also. Its an infinity 611a.
Infinity Reference 611a Mono subwoofer amplifier 456 watts RMS x 1 at Crutchfield.com
It powers up the woofers quite nicely.
I know it is a little bit older infinity stuff, a few years old I believe but I couldnt be happier.
    Infinity all around.

you want a sub with a good motor design behind it.

TC 2+ at the very least.

Preferably an XBL^2 or TC LMS motor design.

Low distortion and will get fairly loud in a sealed box.
