quick question, DDM tuning doesn't list the 898 bulb for their HID list. I really wanna upgrade the fogs. They do however list the 880 bulb...will this work for my 06 GP?

the book calls for a 898 replacement.

I got a question not trying to hijack the thread, but would a 9006 hid bulb fit in stock GP foglights with no mod, or little mod.. I got a set of them from my old silverado.

There seems to be a range of bulbs that are the same but have different numbers. I contacted Putco about this issue cause I was looking at getting Putco Mirror White Bulbs for my foglights.

Here is the e-mail I sent and response.

My E-mail: I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The fog lights are size 898 I believe, based on the bulbs I bought previously which are "Sylvania Fog Light 898 BP Halogen." Your website lists the size as 896, and then when selecting the bulb says the bulb is 881. 230881MW Mirror White 881 Halogen 230881SW Ion Spark White 881 Halogen Are these all the same bulb sizes with different numbers? I know it is common for several different bulbs to have different size numbers but be interchangeable and fully compatible. I just want to double check. Thanks for your time, I currently have Putco LEDs for my tail lights and back-up lights, along with the resistors to make them act correctly and I love them.

Putco's Response: This bulb is correct. 881/886/889/894/896/898 all have the same base.

guess it's Ebay for the 898 HIDS

I wonder if the color will still match my lows, being the ebay HIDS will be a differn't brand.
