I'm trying to install my pioneer deck but I cant seem to get any sound from it. The I was told that I'm suppose to get and interface because of the Bose system which has the amp. I got the interface and still nothing...theirs also a extra plug there that I have no idea where it goes being the harness doesnt have a plug for it. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks

same thing happened to me. Some one else can chime in with more detail, but it then becomes necessary to rewire something in the speakers i believe. Any way i took it some where to get it done and that is what they told me, they did a horrible job so i got a refund. But now my left side speakers go in and out when i hit bumps!

Now I was just told that I need to get the GMOS-04 Onstar interface for it...so I can keep my onstar and volume control and use the factory amp....I found used ones starting at 19.99 and I found new ones starting at 48.99, so I guess I will have to order it and see what happens I guess....Originally Posted by TheBeastGTP

no dont order anything!!!!!!!! especially a useless harness for $50, there is no sound because of the mute button on the steering wheel. i dont remember if you have to hook it up to power or a ground. try putting it to power and see if it works.

Run your remote turn on wire to the pink wire on the bose harness to turn the amp on.

I had everything grounded....Well now I know that the pink wire is for the ground on the Bose amp,...What are the other wires in the harness for?...I know I'll lose volume control on the steering wheel and the continued play of the deck when the key is turned off.... I just took back the wire harness I bought because I was told that it doesn't work.....I also bought a Scosche line converter that was supposedly needed to complete the install... the Gmos 04 runs about 100.00 or more but is it really needed?

Notice the pink wire? It turns the amp on. Hook your BLUE remote wir to the pink and then you will have sound!

its either you get the turn on wire for the amp wired correctly, you buy the $100 interface, or you buy all new speakers and run all new wires. I've just always bought new speakers and ran new wires.

I don't use onstar so I'm just going to plug my deck into the stock harness and wire up the amp. I should be good to go then correct?

For this situation its just gonna be your standard head unit wiring and you will connect your blue remote wire to the pink wire that goes to the factory amplifier. Your volume control, RAP, and drivers side door chime should still work aside from the door open chimes, which suck anyway. Thats what I did and it works perfect, accept the bose amp puts out less power than my aftermarket stereo.
