    hey now, my Digital Audio Components in my jeep in the sound bar sound freakin great, and there strapped to the roof! I have to agree though on this...For mids and highs the placement is basically worthless. If you were to put an 8 inch woofer in a small box in that place that would atleast work (although be annoying and totally in the way)

    Building a box off of the door makes for better midbass because it has potential to be larger.
