Hey guys, noob here.
I just bought a 2007 Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago. The remote start wasn't working so I took it to a dealership and they had to replace the key fob and reprogram it, which costed me $165. Lucky me.
So then I turn on the car via remote start and everything works, but the a'c doesn't turn on. The guy leaves me for about fifteen minutes trying to figure out why and he comes back and tells me this:
"Well, it looks like the climate control is a program in the car's system and someone has taken it out. We'll have to reprogram your car and that'll be another $87."
I told him to forget it and left. Has anyone had a similar problem or know anyway to fix it other than getting further in to screwed-ville with the dealership?
When I use the remote start, everything is on, but the a/c part of the dash just flashes and never actually turns on.
