Can someone tell me or show me somewhere that can show me, how to pull the radio out of a 2006 Grand Prix? How does all that come apart around the air and radio controls? I just need to get to the back of radio to find out if there is an auxiliary input plug in the back or not. If you can answer that question that'd be great also. Thanx for your help.

there is no aux input...get an aftermarket HU (headunit)! If you have a GTP there may be a cord already run but i think you would see it if there was one there...

if you want to diy though for future reference, you pop off the ignition bezel first with a flat object (i used a flathead screwdriver with some electrical tape over it to prevent scratches).

then start at the lower left hand corner of the trim and start pulling it off. it seems pretty flimsy and feels like it will break, but if you are careful it will come off...

from there you must start at the bottom and remove the storage din, then the hvac control, then finally the stereo with the appropriate socket...

    voila...

yeah, just put in my new system that i got for free from my buddy...he gave me 2 10" sony xplod subs in boxes and a fosgate amp...i just had to buy a wiring kit (15 bucks on ebay), and install it! took me about 3 hours total running all the wires and troubleshooting lol. it sounds pretty good though...

for free, you cant beat it...rockford amps are pretty good. how did u run ur hot wire? under the carpet or under the car? I did mines under the carpet and caught pure hell when I tried to come out the back of the console to under the rear floor.

i did mine under the carpet...didn't really have any problems with it at all. i went from the battery to underneath where the cabin air filter is, and down into the front passenger fender. then down into the black hose where the power wires go for the mirrors, windows, etc. from there i went into the car and under the carpet. i then followed the door trim back to the back seat. its not the best setup, but it works for me...
