    Alpine SPR-17S Component Speakers

Is there room behind the door panel on an 05 GP GT to mount the crossovers? Does anyone have any pics behind the door panel? Crutchfield says these speakers will work.

you can put the crossovers anywhere you please. When i was installing at best buy i had to put a pair of crossovers under the dash and just run the wires through the boot in the door.

im in the process of installing these in my gtp....i think i want too far with it. I wanted to make the speakers pop out, so i started cutting the plastic to let the 6.5 fit and then screw it over the leather. Its a pain, and im not done yet. On my car the crossovers fit in between the door and the panel though. I mounted it to the foam on the door in the top left corner. I don't know how different it will be for u though.

Check out some older Type-X if you can? I've found'em cheap...around $200 or so and they're much better than what Alpine is putting out right now. I believe the door panel has about 4 or 5 inches of clearance behind the speaker.
