Just put in what is allegedly a brand-new head unit, because it was cheaper and easier (supposedly) than unlocking the one I had. It shows no signs of playing satellite radio. The system in my car has been "upgraded" except for the head unit. I think the XM module's been removed or disconnected. I have the one from my deceased car, but I need to know the location where it goes.

There's two black wires wrapped together with electrical tape and becoming one black wire which is attached to the trunk floor. The two wires which need to go in the back of the XM module are nowhere to be seen. So...maybe not?

My shadetree mechanic thinks the module was in the center of the rear deck. Looked there. The two necessary cables aren't there.

    Does ANYONE know the answer?

this document references the right front passenger compartment. I would check behind the radio or up under the dash behind the glovebox.

    1. I am certain my mechanic did not go in either of those locations to remove it from my departed GXP.

    2. I have a 2008.

    1. This link won't open on my desktop. When I use Google, it gives me this. Antenna & Radio for 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix | GMPartsNow Where did you find this?

    2. I can see it on my phone. If I'm interpreting it correctly, which is difficult because the XM module isn't actually shown in the car, it's down under the floor of the trunk, and/or in the bumper. Am I reading this wrong?
