IS THERE A TRICK TO TAKEN OUT THE DOOR PANEL. I WANT TO REPLACE THE SPEAKERS AND IT SHOWS ME TO USE A 10MM SOCKET. I TRIED BUT THE SOCKET DOES NOT GO ALL THE WAY IN. HOW HAS EVERYBODY ELSE DONE THIS.

You have to use a Torx bit to remove the two bolts underneath the door handle. There are two caps covering the spots where the torx bolts are. You remove those first, then gently pull from the lower rear corner (towards the trunk of the car) and you will hear the plastic peg holders pop out one by one as you move up the side of the panel and then once you have unpopped those you can slide your hand along the bottom of the door and pop those out until you have gotten all them popped out. Then you pop out the controls in the door and then you can fully remove the panel.
Not hard actually, just getting the torx bolts back in is a buggar. I recommend magnatizing the torx bit or use something tacky that will help the torx bolt to stay on the bit when screwing them back in.
just want to say thanks again.
Hmmm. I guess it depends on what year the car is. I have no torx bolts. Just the 2 10mm bolts in the cover on the handle and a few screws along the bottom.
It's a 2006 and it has two bolts. but the 10mm socket does not fit all the way in. What else can i use to take them out.
you have to get a "thin walled socket" to get in there. I had an old cheap socket set that didn't have an actual socket wrench, just a screwdriver handle with a 1/4" socket connection at the end and a selection of metric sockets. Those were thin enough to squeeze down in those holes. I tried 4 different sockets, and only that one was able to get in there and I had to push it a little.
Generally the higher quality socket sets are have thicker walls on them...which normally is good of course. Makes them stronger and they tend to last longer. Sometimes, these cheapies come in handy though too.
