hey everyone back to the drawing board again today after not having any heat blowing this cold morning. just to give a background the heat did the same thing a couple of months ago it would intermittently shut off and on every couple days it being off for only 5 min max then one day just shuts off completely blower and resistor were brand new at the time so I changed the control unit on the dash and it fixed the issue maybe 2 months later today same symptoms were happening then bam no heat on my 30 min drive due to the blower not blowing. also id say once every 20 to 30 cold starts ill get to my car and see none of the gauges are working and the T/C light is on. shutting off the car for 10 to 15 sec fixes the issue but this does not work for the heat sadly. also gunned it getting onto a main road today and got a charging system failure warning car runs fine and didn't do anything weird when the light flashed on but im sure its a symptom.

alternator is a refurbished unit only a year or two old and battery is only a year old im thinking I have terrible grounds and was thinking of trying to do the big 3 upgrade but wasn't sure if its a good Idea and I don't know exactly what to do with it.

let me know what you guys think id hate to have to get rid of this thing after how perfect its running and how fun it is for something silly like this but I don't want to be fixing my heat every 2 months either haha

Have you looked for a bad ground?

not sure where all the grounds are ive redone the two under the headlights before though and they were trash when i did them and probably trash again im sure all the grounds are bad car is a rust bucket lol to give perspective radiator support straight fell out from rust rad is currently held by a lot of quality strategically placed zip ties haha. partially why I wanted to do the big 3 mod I know its not necessary and people say it would be easier to fix the bad grounds but I don't want to have to keep fixing grounds every 20k miles lol id rather do a end all fix even if it cost a bit extra.

also heat has been turning on and off last night and today no correlation with anything that I can find so I feel like that seals the deal as it being bad grounds

anyone know where ground g201 is looks like it may be the problem since i have other components that went out that are connected to that ground but its wierd all the wires going to the switch are fine and are either grounded or give voltage and the issue seems to be that the resistor is not getting voltage from the grey black wire when the switch is on so I would assume the switch is bad but I have 3 different switches and none of them work?
