You have "7" speakers, not 7 channels. The monsoon system counts in an odd way. Left rear, right rear, left front woofer, left front tweeter, right front woofer, right front tweeter, dash center channel.
In an after market system this would typically be considered a 5 channel system, but due to how the monsoon is wired they count it as 7.
Now, if you are going to replace the entire system, be warned, you will be best served replacing the wiring all around as the wiring for the monsoon system is very thin/cheap and won't handle a real system very well.
Many people when replacing the whole system remove the center channel. I actually enjoy the center speaker but to each his own.
