i wouldent do it , if u can make it fit , 6 disk in dash changers suck , alot of companies have tried making them and they all suck , pioneer , eclipse , alpine , rockford fosgate (when they made decks) and even a high end brand called nakamichi , and nobody ever made a good one . just do a i pod with a hard wired fm mod
I just ordered one from ebay to throw in my 97. I'm optimistic, I'll keep you informed of my progress.
Thats the factory kind that my parents have in their Silverado and it works great. Doesn't have all the options like an aftermarket but gets the job done and works for me.
They're flipping annoying when you want to change all six discs... Other than that, they're the same as any other factory CD player.
those are double din are they not? Our cars are 1.5 din, and they look really dumb when you mod them to fit. Just wondering...
Got my radio today. Bench testing, I connect the B+ and ground wires and I can load discs, see the clock, that's about it. Does anyone know how these 04+ Class II radios receive their "on" signal? I wonder if it's through the class II data wire, since there is no switched 12V on the harness. I did find a pin diagram, and their is a switched 12V pin but no wire is attached. I did apply +12V to that pin but the radio will still not turn on.
Any ideas? I know it's possible because someone on another forum put one in a Fiero
