This is the first time I've ever put in an aftermarket radio in a car. My CD/iPod work fine and the radio works most of the time as well. However, it seems to get a lot of static while driving around. I read somewhere that it could be the old antenna? Would it help to replace the antenna and if so, how do I go about doing it?

Which brand of aftermarket system do you have. I saw a How To around here that showed how to fix it on a certain brand. You may want to look through that section and see if its of any use. GeddyLee, one of our moderators posted it up I believe.
