What kind of spark plugs should i run in an 07 grand prix gxp?
I ordered a trans cooler and a shift kit
K. Ordered the spark plugs i already have msd wires. Put them on maybe 40k miles ago. How long til i should replce the wires again?
Also Ive been told to get poly mounts. One guy has square and round. I thought it was one or the other? Is this just the mount by the radiator they are talking about? If it is one or the other which ones are better round or square?
Round mounts go from the bracket to the engine, square mounts go from the bracket to the frame. Both are part of the dogbone torque strut mount that keeps the engine from rocking back and forth.
Is there some kind of plug to use to plug up the radiator when you pull off the transmission line to prevent contaminents from getting in the radiator? And are there fittings to go over the preexisting lines to use to connect to the trans cooler? I want to do this right and preserve the original lines and everything in case i ever want to change it back so i wont have to run new lines. Or if i ever get a leak or sometging messes up. I seen someone cut the pupe, but i dont want to do that.
Ok just cut the lines. It's gonna be easier and you want to do it in standalone method anyway. And cap the rad with anything. I don't think it matters cause that obviously doesn't connect to the coolant side. You shouldn't be worried about restoring it to stock because stock is an epic fail. Even in my base I'm doing a cooler this week cause I live in a hilly area and I'm seeing 200'ddgree temps.
You don't need to cut the lines but if you do flare them so the hose won't blow off. If you don't cut them the hose might slide over the end of the fitting on the lines acting as a barb. If you live in colder climates running it in series with the stock one wouldn't be a bad idea what I plan on doing. Which kit did you get if its the one deigned for GXPs off TEP it should have all AN fittings and PnP with no cutting.

You're in Florida just use an fittings fittings, some pushloc hose -6port printed oringed AN fittings with a -8 male end. Grab a female male -8 hose barbed pushloc fitting run your lines to your cooler and be done with it.
Here's my thread on the an fittings.

Thanks for the help. Im in florida so im gonna fo stand alone. I want to preserve it just in case. You never know. I do agree that stock sucks though although i love the car. Ill try the an fittings. What would be best to plug the radiator, rubber or metal or something? And wont the hole be recessed or whatever? Is it tapped or something, will something screw in there? I have a friend helping me and he told me to try and get all this information before we start.
