Finally getting around to posting the pictures. I guess I better while the body is still straight. I have learned in OKC, they don't like Grand Prix.
The 06 on I40 ...
The GXP in NW OKC ....
First of all a before and after just for Dirtdog :-)
At least the they did not total the GXP like the 06. Have to give lot of thanks to R and M Body Shop in Chickasha, they did a great job in fitting the pieces together. Supper nice people, and getting the bumper to fit was a pain, but they stuck with it till it was right. Also he took a few pictures of the processes.
'DirtDog, man I wished I could have got in there and polished the tip at this stage :-)'
It is just plain stock, no mods yet. It will become my toy when it is no longer my wife's daily driver. :-) Some more glamour shots.....
What, no V8 badges on the trunk? lol
You mean like this?
Here a post I started on my project car thread. Maybe I should have started it's own thread.

^^^It would've come with cheap silver laminate foam badges that read "Grand Prix" & "V8". Personally I prefer the LS4 badge from Emblempros. It's not cheap but it adds a nice touch to the trunk.
What I am trying to say, I don't think mine ever had it on it. I bought the car with 45,000 miles, I did not pull it off, and looking at the pictures before it went to the body shop, it did not have them then.
Again, I wonder if they did not put it on from the factory?
Back in June of 2013 we discuss why my vin was different (2G2WC58C77). KR pointed me to this web site for Vin deciphering. I discovered I had front and roof air bags. From the sample that was on the discussion that is not very common. BTW, look like you made a comment, something about not being red. :-)
Anyway, I wonder if the day this car was born, it did not come with the v8 badge. I wonder how to be sure?
It definitely had them lol. And as for air bags mine has the roof bags. Actually all the GXPs I've seen do

The grand prix gxp is hard to get rid of once you own it..
A. Because no one will buy it for the money you want.
B. See reason a.
I honestly think I'll be holding on to mine. It's too cheap to just ditch for the market, and the fact maybe in half a century it'll be worth $500 more than what I paid for it
As for emblem pros, they make great stuff...but I can't fathom spending $146~ on three badges lol
