So I just bought one of those cheap short ram intakes off of ebay. It came with a very short piece of pipe, a cone filter, some hose clamps, and a couple of rubber adapters/couplers (or whatever you call them). So I just went to go put the thing in and am now very confused by the MAF and it's location in my 2007 Grand Prix GXP. Can anyone explain to me exactly how I am supposed to hook this up? The MAF is located in the hard molded section attached to the airbox cover. I don't see how what I bought can connect to the portion holding the MAF. No MAF adapter came with the intake. I have seen several pics where it appears that people had to do some serious mods to install the CAI. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a link to the short ram intake?

Not sure if this link will work for you. The auction ended (obviously) and he has no more listed for a 2007 grand prix.

Here's a link where someone was doing some modding. It appears they have turned the MAF portion around. Notice the 1st 2 pics when it's stock, and notice the position of that UPC sticker compared to pics 3 and 4.

Ok I think it should go like this starting from the throttle body put one of the rubber couplers on the end of it then put the maf housing into the coupler, then put the other rubber coupler onto the end of the maf housing then put the metal pipe into the other end of that coupler then put the cone on the end of the metal pipe. Try that and see if it works, if not then idk hopefully someone with more knowledge on this can chime in.

That's kind of what I thought. There's security screws holding the MAF housing portiuon to the air box cover. So if I remove those screws and take it apart, I am left with a flush, odd shaped flange. There's no lip or straight pipe to coupler anything to.

You need an extra rubber coupler and two clamps, unless the filter snugs on to the maf. Arrow points to engine, if you get your maf mixed up.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
