I cant find an answer. I've had my 07 GXP for about 1.5 years now and cant figure out if you can get the AC to come on with the remote start. Seems kind of pointless to start the car remotely and not have the AC come on to cool it down. Thanks

I have an 07 and my ac comes on when i auto start when it's hot out... one day not to long ago it was kind of cool out and it heated up... I almost always have my both my ac knobs set to auto. IDK if this helps you any but that's what happens for me...
I always have mine NOT set on auto. I'll give that a try. Thanks!
Tried, didn't work. It just blinks the set temp. It doesn't turn on till I turn the key. Idk...
The outside temp shows like 110 when it's hot out. Pretty sure that's right. The remote start is factory. Not sure if there's a splice because of that. I'll go try the coldest setting and report back in a few...
Outside temp is 80, display shows 80. I set the temp to 60, no go. Getting pissed...

Thanks. I'll see if I have time after I finish the abs delete and 5 lug swap on my galant vr4.
Idk. Only thing I see funny is the ac display just blinks until I turn the key on. It's still under warranty so I guess I'll bring it in for that and the oil burning issue...
mine works fine and gets ice cold within a couple minutes.
Go ahead rub it in...
who ever installed it did not install it correctly. there is an accessory wire that needs to be powered when the remote start is activated. idk what kind of remote starter you have. otherwise i might be able to help you. i install these and i know what im doing.
It is the factory one. Installed by Pontiac on the assembly line.
then there may be some programming to do but good luck finding it because unless you belong to a gm dealer authorized site (which costs about 50 a month) you'll have to take it to the dealer to have it calibrated.
Full easy care warranty with $0 deductible. If that doesn't work. My friend works at a GM dealer as a painter, another in parts, three in service. I will get it working one way or the other. Its going in the shop tomorrow for burning oil, so maybe I'll get them to look at it then.
Yeah i have never had a problem with the remote start. But good luck with the burning oil thing. All i got was the run around with it and that it wasnt covered under warranty. And from what i can tell this is a very very common story with these cars.
Dealer fixed the remote start. It wasn't programed from the day it was built. They are doing an oil consumption test over 3k miles.
