Okay Ive been reading on different cold air intakes and what to get and what not to get. Well I can say I dont have $300 let alone $150 to spend on a CAI right now. I found this one: 2005 2006 GRAND PRIX GXP 5.3L V8 AIR INTAKE KIT TB +K&N: eBay Motors (item 330453800146 end time Aug-20-10 20:50:22 PDT)

Will I actually notice any power gains out of it? And what would I have to do with the PCM because I know it bolts down the the stock airbox. Please let me know. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

for that price you can make a nicer intake. it is really easy to make one like that. i make a fender well intake on my car. you wont really feel a difference but you should get better mpg's with a different intake. as for the pcm you can zip tie it down or cut the bottom of the factory airbox off and use that.

Just place a quality dry flow filter on the end of your maf sensor and be done with it.

That tubing looks awfuly small, I would find a way to move the coolan tank and just run a short tube with a filter on it close to the fender.

its 3 inch tubing for now. when i get the time i will make a 4'' stainless fwi and block it off from the motor. i cant move the coolant bottle not enough room any where else for it.

Maybe get a smaller tube style one from like jegs. Looks ballin and gives you more room.

I would never trust a Ebay kit listed for the 5.3L when they can only provide a photo of a 3.8l.
