Hello I've got a 05' gxp that has a weird issue .. it starts and runs fine if you turn key on and the gxp comes up on the display but if gxp doesn't show on display when key turned on then it won't start just will turn over... display will show other alarms or odometer, gas milage ,etc. But if gxp doesn't flash when key is first turned then no start.. cycle key once or twice until gxp shows then bam fires right up no problems... why is this happening?? Any help is greatly appreciated...
    Thanks

Sounds like an issue with the transponder in the ignition switch or the switch itself. Do you have another key you can try?

Well I do have two keys but both do same thing, (sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries sometimes 5 or 6 and then sometimes 1st try) and I have changed the ecu, key cylinder, keypass 3 ring around ignition switch.. luckily it still starts everytime just not sure what would cause this... trying to figure out before it fails totally...
    Thanks

Not sure on this, but maybe the BCM (body control module) is getting flakey?
