The car has been great for the most part. It developed an exh leak and there was a crack after the exh flange on the mid pipe with the cat where the flexible accordion style pipe is. I left it with a mechanic for a few days while we were out of town and when I got back (because of his laziness and my wife needing her car back) I took it back and took it home. Its not that I couldnt fix it but rather was taking advantage of being out of town and and trying to be efficient. Anyway, while driving it back home, it ran really bad and I thought maybe he didnt put the O2 back in but after inspection, he did. So I thought it was running rough due to the crack. I ended up replacing the entire midpipe with the cat and new exh gasket and those supersized O-ring pieces that hold the exh still under the car and provide support.
But after cranking it and trying to drive it, it was still misfiring. It was originally P0303 and I found that (somehow) the clip inside the plug boot has come loose from the plug wire so I replaced the plug wire and reset the codes. It ran great for a day or so but has come back and now all I get is P0300 which isnt helping.
Ive pulled all the plug wires and plugs and all look great. Plugs/wires were just replaced earlier last year. All have a good color and are not worn. None of my wires are burnt. I thought about pulling the coils and measuring the primary/secondary but then I ran into this issue where it looks like (someone, not gonna call names here) broke the vacuum port on this piece and wedged a stick in it to plug it and trying to put it back together.
Being its a part of the int manifold and vacuum, I can see where this could cause a general misfire but now the time has come where I need some help identifying the part. So......please help so I can replace this and move forward.
Now with that being said, if you guys have any other help on a misfire, please feel free to share.
