Nah All I had to do was open the bin with DHP and use DHP to save it. And then it corrects the CheckSum error

Are all of your engine and PCM grounds good?
The KR is only at cruise, is it okay in the upper RPM?
Going WOT or anything over 60% throttle, roughly, no KR. Just while cruising on the highway or tooling around town.
But that's like 95% of my driving. Lol
Before I changed my knock sensors I was getting the same thing a lot just takin off would give me 15* KR. Then before I actually removed the sensors I plugged the new ones in and wrapped them in old Mylar bubble wrap from an old window shield and still got the KR but after replacing both front and rear it went away. I do get about 4.8* at about 2500 at WOT on a stock car but it's normal from what I understand. I don't get any knock during cruise unless it's like .8 or so when the convertor unlocks or locks but it's quick. I'm thinking that the PCM remembers what the sensor did while it was connected. Why else would it show KR with it disconnected? I know the PCM has the ability to tell if the sensor is there, but having mine disconnected didn't set a code.
Jeff
Having it disconnected doesn't set the service engine light, but it will bring up a stored DTC.
My thoughts, car sees no sensors are plugged in, so it puts itself into "safe" or "limp" mode to protect the engine as it can't compensate for detonation.
Do you have HPTuners or similar? Just for giggles set your EGR enable temp to 284. It adds timing at cruise and might be adding to the problem.
KR would also show up for torque management, if the PCM is commanding reduced timing. Maybe there's a funny trans table setting.
I don't have a tuner myself.
Josh (Iceman6669) does all my tuning for me via DHP. Pretty sure all my torque management has been shut off.
Narrowed it down to being false KR.
Car was just about on E and I added 4 gallons of 110 Octane Race Fuel. KR was still existent. In that case, it must be picking up some kind of noise. I've been told by two people it's most likely Trans related noise.
