Yeah maybe around that ^^
I'm even on an s1x na lol
I'll be getting dyno'd eventually lol I need to dial my tune in all the way first. Thinking about throwing the 3.0 back on and more timing.
Why the hell does everyone think an xp isn't dailyable. If your gonna cam, go xp and bump up your idle.It drives same as factory.
I am pretty similar to that, but with the 3.1 pulley on E85. Wondering how much more power every drop in pulley size makes/adds (a.k.a.. Wondering what power mine is making as well )
some would argue an is3 or the old thrasher cam nick ran in his car is streetable.
however this is just my perspective if it requires modded heads and a double roller its not worth it. At that point by the time you start adding up double roller with whatever timing cover clearance solution you pick plus head work or port heads, valve springs, and gaskets blah blah blah.
Might as well get a cheap non intercooled turbo kit with maybe a set of rockers and make way more hp.
please someone show me a setup that makes over 330whp and 400wtq for cheaper and with less mods than mine on e85. Hell the 3.2 and gas setup would be plenty to destroy a stock trans......... that made 277whp and 356wtq.

0, because it will blow up
Xp cam s1x cams are the same damn cam in my opinion.. VS cam in my opinion doesnt have enough top end do it right the first time and get a s1x cam or a xp cam they will do fine just get it dialed in

I am running a Comp Cams 76-802-9
Quite similar to the XP and I DD this car.
105# Crow Cam springs and all supporting mods. New stock timing chain and dampner.
SD Headers and a partial tune I guess =P
The guy that tuned my car knows of a car that dyno'd 277 whp on an XP and 3.4"?

Made 277 on that pull.. Only reason it was on the open DP was because it had a clogging cat.
250whp
and I think more people consider the VS cam more streetable because of the more low-mid range power instead of the high rpm power you get on larger cams. I guess if you drive with a lead foot and hit 5k+ rpms every time you accelerate the big cam is perfectly streetable and awesome but for sane daily driving where you rarely go over 4k rpms the larger cams aren't doing you any favors.
I've never driven a 3800 with a big cam but I've been daily driving a topswapped 3800 with a VS cam for a long time now and I love it. Aside from the obvious increase in power I don't think most people would be able to tell it was cammed. Depending on what you're going after that can be a bad thing OR a good thing. I was going for a daily driven, reliable sleeper kind of build so I went with the baby cam but I can understand if you want a "racecar" or some kind of show car you want a ridiculous cam.
