From what I understand some, or maybe all (?) of the 3.8 powered F-body cars had factory aluminum valve covers. Is there any reason I can't take a pair of those aluminum valve covers and toss them on my SC'd engine? What are the differences, if any?

    Thanks!

they will not have the injector cutouts that the sc VC have

NA have 6 indents, SC have 3 more "indents/scallops for the injectors that go into the cylinder head

the top lip is straight across on a n/a vc, where the sc vc has some dips in it, so no you cant use them.

Agreed. That's why I was wondering about the F-body VC's. For $40 at the JY and $3 wort of scotch brite pads, I could have a nice set of brushed aluminum covers. That price I can do.
The ZZP ones would look nice, but I'd rather spent that kind of coin on go fast parts.

Haha! True. I've never really been a fan of chrome, or polished aluminum either. I do however, love the look of brushed aluminum. After pulling a set of calipers off a Firebird, I got to wondering if there was anything else from this "sportscar" that I could use as an upgrade on my racekar.

Truthfully, I don't even mind the stock VC's. Just looking for a cheap upgrade. Guess I'll have to settle for satin black. I'm okay with that.
