You'd have to do some crazy work on the heads and even then I don't know if it's possible.

You would have to do the math and figure out what the lift ends up being on the cam + rockers and make sure your valve guides can allow it.

I am a little disappointed with the yt 1.9 and 105 spring upgrade i feel like i lost a lot of low end torque and shifted a little up top i does feel like a more constant and longer powerband but i was looking for more i didn't want to take them out but my lifters are a little noise and need replacement while i am in there i was going to do single roller master chain and tensioner thats why i was looking for a cam that is slightly more aggressive than stock with a little more lift and duration

To my knowledge(and I might be wrong) all cams would require head work with 1.9s.

Would that be to run a stage 1 / vs cam or if i were to go threw comp with a custom cam with equal lift on 1.9 rockers

ANY cam + 1.9s will require head work.

Shocked that you weren't happy with the 1.9's.....always a great simple upgrade IMO.

Like Josh said...there isn't a cam out there on the market that you can run 1.9's with. Running a combination of both is extremely costly. Sell the 1.9's and use funds to buy a bigger cam.

You could run a VS or NIC on 1.9 rollers... would still probably be a downgrade over stock.

May I ask why you are asking?

Plans for engine, lift desired? Have you considered all the angles in wanting the high ratio rockers? Do you plan modded or roller rockers?

There is actually an old Comp Cam grind with .285 lift that will result in .542 with the 1.9's... I just asked the same question of some folks here that have been there & done that. But as mentioned, without head work there is little benefit (flow) and problematic (clearance) to go this route. It is why I asked your intentions previously.

Go BIG or go home right! Hehehe... : )

But you've gotta have a plan. And big lift should be planned right. Subsequently, after doing some research, I decided against using the 1.9's I have with that cam and will instead be going a different route with 1.7 YT Rolling Rockers...

Big breathing is not just for turbo as some would have it, but I guess I'm just old school, want biggest intake with biggest exhaust, lol.

These are all my opinion of course : )

the more overlap you have (nearly unavoidable at huge lifts) the more bleedby and more headaches with closed loop tuning...to the point hwere your stuck open loop with only trial and error tuning and limited automatic adjustment to fueling.

and when your talkin about cams...tons of folks run the st5 cam yet we made more power than 90% of them with a tiny duration little st1r

once you go over 550 lift your just wearing the guides faster unless you open up the heads.

you can only shove so much **** through a low flow toilet

    NIC = .317 lift x 1.9 = .602 lift on stock heads?

Please explain how this works, absent any detrimental effect. Thanks.

Same way a 1.75ish stock rocker lives on top of XP cam... its just smashing the valve seals a bit.

it's not hard to put a straight edge across the valve cover rails and hit the top of your guides with a grinder to take off a tenth of an inch
