    hey guys i have a 98 grand prix GTP and i notice i have coolant leaking from some where on the passenger side of the motor but can not find it any ideas

    Coolant Elbows, Water Pump, Heater Hoses being some possible suspects.

    Hmmm depends has it been done yet? If you already have the metal lim gasket then no need to do it but if you still have the plastic ones you can go ahead and do them if you like.

    well i notice if i take the oil cap off while the car is on the car change in idle is this normal

    Take a look at where the lim meets the head.. You can see if it's aluminum (silver) or plastic it'll be black. If it's plastic now would be a good time to change it

    And you can do the Valve covers gaskets if they are old just to be safe besides that... Elbow, lim and vc gasket you'll be good to go

    the coolant is leaking from the elbows i guess the rings are bad they seem to leak when im going above 70mpr
